Twin-axle trailer servicing

Twin-Axle Trailer Servicing & Repairs

Twin-axle trailer servicing and repair with attention to all wheel brakes, hubs, bearings, tyres, suspension and load-sharing running gear.

Twin-Axle Trailer Servicing & Repairs

A twin-axle trailer has twice as many hubs, bearings and tyre contact points as a single-axle trailer, and braking or suspension problems need to be considered across the whole axle group.

All wheels matter

One apparently good brake does not compensate for another wheel that is seized, badly adjusted or contaminated. Where appropriate, the braking system is assessed across the complete trailer.

Tyres and load sharing

Uneven tyre wear can point to inflation, loading, suspension or alignment issues. Tyres should also be checked for age cracking and structural damage.

Bearings and hubs

Play, roughness or abnormal heat at any wheel needs investigation. A hot hub can result from brake drag as well as bearing trouble.

If possible, include the model, approximate age, axle/brake identification and photographs when you contact us. This helps us confirm workshop suitability and identify parts before the trailer arrives.

Frequently asked questions

Do you service four-wheel braked twin-axle trailers?

Yes, many common twin-axle braked trailers can be serviced subject to size and gross weight.

Do all four drums need to be checked?

The inspection scope depends on the trailer and service requirements, but a balanced braking system needs all relevant wheel brakes considered rather than only one side.
