Plant trailers are built to work, but repeated heavy loading, site conditions and road use mean their running gear deserves regular inspection.
Brake and hub servicing
We inspect common drum brakes, cables, hubs, bearings and drums as appropriate. Dragging brakes, hot hubs, excessive play or uneven braking should be investigated promptly.
Tyres and suspension
Tyres are checked for damage, cracking, unusual wear and suitability. Visible suspension, axle hardware and mountings are inspected for deterioration relevant to the job.
Coupling and lights
Coupling/overrun components, breakaway equipment and road lighting are also part of a sensible plant-trailer maintenance programme.
If possible, include the model, approximate age, axle/brake identification and photographs when you contact us. This helps us confirm workshop suitability and identify parts before the trailer arrives.
